Anji White (1.5 oz. tin)
The story goes - in the 1950s, deep in a bamboo forest above the Huangpu River in the misty mountains of Zhejiang Province, this varietal thought to be extinct was re-discovered. Given its process of manufacture, it is classed as a green tea despite its name. AnJi White's leaves are delicate and feathery. Prepared correctly, its liquor is described as liquid silk. A wonderful treat - delicate leaves brew to a cup color of light apple green, an extremely smooth mouth feel and rich 'umami' or savory taste. Brews to a depth of flavor and a texture that reflects the high theanine content of the leaf. This tea is made with early-pick spring buds. 1.5 oz. Rare Lot # 2

Supporting adults with disabilities
Silk Road Teas is more than just tea. We are committed to giving back to our community by providing jobs packaging our teas to disabled adults. As the older brother of a disabled person, Ned Heagerty, Silk Road Teas President, recognized the challenges and limited opportunities disabled adults face. So he wanted to make a difference. It is a small step, but it is an action we believe in and will continue to follow. Recently, we were honored by receiving the Employer of the Year Award from Integrated Community Services (ICS) for our commitment to employ persons with disabilities.
