Green Snow Bud (Lu Xue Ya)
Harvest date 2015. Becoming increasingly rare in the marketplace, this unusual Fujianese green tea offering is an elegant, tight leaf, high-mountain varietal. Processed to preserve its natural appearance, this unusual, slender and dark leaf opens to reveal a single bud within the leaf. Picked early in the first flushes of spring, it offers a comparatively strong green tea taste, with hints of astringency and a very pleasing aftertaste. This varietal will yield multiple steeps reflecting the strength of the leaf.

Supporting adults with disabilities
Silk Road Teas is more than just tea. We are committed to giving back to our community by providing jobs packaging our teas to disabled adults. As the older brother of a disabled person, Ned Heagerty, Silk Road Teas President, recognized the challenges and limited opportunities disabled adults face. So he wanted to make a difference. It is a small step, but it is an action we believe in and will continue to follow. Recently, we were honored by receiving the Employer of the Year Award from Integrated Community Services (ICS) for our commitment to employ persons with disabilities.

The Silk Road Teas Story
High-mountain varietals, given the daily fluctuations of warn and cold, offer a depth of taste and aroma. Cup liquor also tends to be quite clear.
