Haiwan "Square Tea"
This square-shaped Pu-erh offers a very tasty cup. Produced with small-leaf, gong ting and medium Grade 3 leaves that were sourced in the Six Famous Tea Mountains area of Xishuangbanna. A 100-gram ripe pressed-square was made at the Haiwan Tea Factory under the guidance of a well-known and respected Pu-erh tea maker, Mr. Zhou Bing Liang. Haiwan ripe teas are known for their rich flavors and full-bodied tastes and the fact they age so well. This square cake brews to a rich and creamy liquor. One note, the cake is pressed quite tight so while this will assist in slowing the aging process, care must be used when breaking it apart. Produced in 2010.

Supporting adults with disabilities
Silk Road Teas is more than just tea. We are committed to giving back to our community by providing jobs packaging our teas to disabled adults. As the older brother of a disabled person, Ned Heagerty, Silk Road Teas President, recognized the challenges and limited opportunities disabled adults face. So he wanted to make a difference. It is a small step, but it is an action we believe in and will continue to follow. Recently, we were honored by receiving the Employer of the Year Award from Integrated Community Services (ICS) for our commitment to employ persons with disabilities.
