White Peony (Bai Mu Dan)
|
|
A visual and taste delight! A fresh, early-picked mix of light and dark green leaves and silvery buds. An EU Standard organic white tea from the Fuding Mountains of Fujian Province, these tender, young leaves are withered, then fired to preserve their light-green colors and natural sweetness. When brewed the cup is amber-colored, offering a smooth, sweet flavor with hints of melon and fruit. One of China's newer white teas, our lot is made to the greener color side of coloration with traditional fruity aromas and a round "mouth-feel".
Tea Notes
As the harvest progresses, more Bai Mu Dan arrives in the markets. Day-to-day, tasting lots, notice the taste and aroma of the teas deepens.
Once plucked, biochemical changes begin in the leaf. Processing first augments this change, then arrests it.
