Snow Lotus (Xue Lian)

Tea artisans in Anhui Province have carefull sewn green tea leaves with silken thread into the shape of a resting flower. Once steeped, a cluster of green leaves open and form a base for a white Lotus flower. The visual effect is dramatic and the tea is naturally sweet and robust. Steep for 3-4 minutes in water of 185-195 degrees in a sturdy glass vessel.
