The leaf and budsets are carefully worked to thick, very curly shapes that make the tea very light in weight. Taste is best with a high portion of white leaf. This is a traditional Chinese green that steeps to a very likeable, sweet-nutty flavor. It is belly-warming, palate satisfying and serves well as an everyday beverage and will compliment food.

Our White Peony is harvested and traditionally processed from the first pluckings of spring in Fuding County. We buy this tea mindful its leaves should offer a mix of light and darker greens and plenty of silver buds to create its nuanced and sweet taste. Processed by withering in a warm room on bamboo racks and then heat dried, the blend of leaf colors, buds and stems will yield a clear straw-like cup color and multiple tastes of melon, grape and herbs. This tea goes very well with food and is quite good with sweets!

An EU Standard organic white tea from the Fuding Mountains of Fujian Province, these tender, young leaves are withered, then fired to preserve their light-green colors and natural sweetness. When brewed the cup is amber-colored, offering a smooth, sweet flavor with hints of melon and fruit. One of China's newer white teas, our lot is made to the greener color side of coloration with traditional fruity aromas and a round "mouth-feel".

Leaves are a rich color, then pan-fired and shaped to a small curved leaf that offers a wild and natural- fruity taste that will linger. Cup color is clear light green. This lot was harvested early in the spring. We find the fresh taste of this tea very enlivening.

Thick, green-to-black leaves are the result of aging and multiple firings. Its taste deepens with each "working" by the tea maker. From the WuYi Mountains in Fujian Province, this oolong is rich in aroma and multi-layered and complex in flavor. Early smokiness will quickly pass to sweet, floral notes that will linger and satisfy and bring a slight swelling to the tongue. This tea is often touted as a weight loss beverage. In China, it is known as a Min-Bei oolong, as it is made north of the Min River. A strong leaf, it will yield multiple infusions.

Made from a special cultivar of Camellia Sinensis, once withered the green leaves are sewn with silken thread into an elegant shape to set off a brilliant red clover blossom. Crafted early in the spring, the mushroom shaped tea is then infused with the scent of the Jasmine flower. Brew in a glass teapot or sturdy wine glass, water temperature of 185–195 degrees. This tea offers a wonderful drink and conversation piece. This varietal does not tend to get bitter, so the tea can be enjoyed throughout a meal and steeped multiple times.

This is a special and comparatively rare, elegant and noticeably smaller-leaf Dragon Well varietal from Zhejiang Province. This Lung Ching varietal is not typically commonly exported and found in our market. The varietal's leaf is definitive - very fresh green appearance and distinctly shorter and more uniform in length than the better known Dragon Wells. The result is an even tasting cup that is delicious and lightly sweet. The leaves are low fire and will cup to a light-yellow and clean liquor, just hints of nuttiness, with lingering aftertaste.

Truly one of China's finest green teas and becoming increasingly rare! The first impression is the wonderful shape and distinctly sweet aroma of the leaves. It cups to a nectar-like taste, with a finish that lingers sweet and clean. In Fujian Province, this tea is called "Mei Lan Chun" and is made with the slow growing varietal, "Mei Zhan". Growth is nurtured by clouds and mists that shroud the mountains producing a compact, very aromatic leaf. Easy to brew and enjoy. The tea is at its best with water temperature well below boiling. The leaves will offer multiple infusions.
