Our Green Peony is made in a village in Anhui Province that is known for the quality and craftsmanship of its display teas. Rosette shaped, the leaves are a rich and varied green color sewn together with silk thread. This tea offers a visual delight that cups to a full–bodied and sweet lingering taste. Fresh green Bancha leaf from Japan has been blended with the crisp flavor of Quince fruit, Mallow flowers and Cornflowers. This is a very aromatic offering that will invigorate your senses. Available early in the spring and only for a matter of days, this "pre-rain" tea is made of unopened buds and then processed to a green tea. The tea is traditional to Fujian Province. Our lot is Pre-Qing Ming and grown high on the mountain giving the leaf a deep green color and distinct taste notes. Steeped, it offers a bright, savory aroma and a smooth, sweet taste.

An elegant, tight leaf, high-mountain varietal from Fujian Province. Processed to preserve its natural appearance, this unusual, slender and dark leaf opens to reveal a single bud within the leaf. Picked early in the first flushes of spring, it offers a comparatively strong green tea taste, with hints of astringency and a very pleasing aftertaste. This varietal will yield multiple steeps reflecting the strength of the leaf.

Jasmine Pearls is a delight to watch unfold as well as to drink. Early-picked green tea leaves are carefully rolled into small pearls with a white downy striping. Once rolled, the pearls wait until the jasmine flowers are harvested later in the summer. For a high-grade pearl such as ours, the flower petals are introduced and then removed after imparting their fragrance, a process that may be repeated up to seven times. Our supplier's family has been making jasmine teas for generations in Fujian Province and his skill is evident. This tea is exquisite, a sweet and delicate green redolent with fresh scent of jasmine.
