Oh yes oh yes!
Looks great, but saving this one for special occasion. Will review when I make a cuppa. Thanks
The Gongting leaf grade is known for offering layered flavors and rich aromas. Our Red Horse cake was pressed in the Year of the Horse (2014) after harvesting this small leaf cultivar in 2013.
Lot Notes. Cake is a ripe or Shou Pu-erh, a 100-gram cake, made with Gongting grade leaves/buds grown inthe Yong De region. Given the grade of the leaves, this ripe Pu-erh should improve with age.
Tea Facts. Gongting grade offers small leaves and buds. This small, compact grade and timing of the pluck size will generally offer nuances in flavor and aromas as the leaves are compact.
Tasting Notes. Brews to a nice thick liquor thickness with a very evident floral aroma. Early on , we find notes of spice and some date-like sweetness. Flavors are marbled and will change with each infusion.
Brewing Suggestion. Use 3-5 grams, a round teaspoon to a tablespoon, for 6-8 ounces of water at 205 F to boiling. Rinse the leaves, pour off and re-infuse. Steep for 3-4 minutes. Leaves will steep 3-5 times.
