Harvested in Spring, our white Chrysanthemum flowers (Chrysanthemum indicum) are full buds, natural and rich in fragrance and flavors. These bright white flowers are lively and sweet.
Lot Notes. The lot offers a clean white appearance and high aroma. Flavor is fresh and bright. Flowers will cup to clean and soothing tisane. Good lot for blending.
Tea Facts. Grown in Anhui Province, a region widely recognized for the quality and variety of its Chrysanthemum flowers. Flowers are harvested, then heat dried. No additives, such as sodium, were used in the preparation of the flowers to brighten or enhance their coloration. Chrysanthemum flowers are wonderful served as a hot beverage with food, and will aid in digestion. It is also served as a refreshing & cooling beverage in hot weather. The flowers are often blended with a ripe or cooked Pu-erh leaf to make a traditional summer tea drink. Harvested in 2022
Taste Profile. The flowers are rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, amino acids and soothing chemicals making for a delicious and highly nutritious drink. It is naturally sweet woith a clean, lasting finish. It can be blended with various other teas and herbals to make iced beverages.
Brewing suggestions. We use approximately 3 grams of flowers, or a rounded tablespoon per 8 ounces of water. Water cooled to just under boiling temperature is best. Steep the leaves for 4-5 minutes.
