Harvested in Spring, our white Chrysanthemum flowers (Chrysanthemum indicum) are full buds, natural and rich in fragrance and flavors. These bright white flowers are lively and sweet.

Why we selected these flowers. Grown in Anhui Province, a region widely recognized for the quality and variety of its Chrysanthemum flowers, the flowers are harvested, then heat dried. No additives, such as sodium, were used in the preparation of the flowers to brighten or enhance their coloration. The flavor of the se flowers are fresh and clean.

Interesting facts about these flowers. Chrysanthemum tea is believed to have originated in the Song Dynasty. The flowers are rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, amino acids and soothing chemicals making for a delicious and highly nutritious drink. Chrysanthemum flowers are wonderful served as a hot beverage with food, and will aid in digestion. It is also served as a refreshing & cooling beverage in hot weather. The flowers are often blended with a ripe or cooked Pu-erh leaf to make a traditional summer tea drink. It can be blended with various other teas and herbals to make iced beverages. 2019 Harvest

Brewing suggestions. We use approximately 3 grams of flowers, or a rounded tablespoon, for up to 12 ounces of water. Water cooled to just under boiling temperature is best. Steep the leaves for 4-5 minutes.
