elderflower tea
had this tea for the first time at Chez Panisse with my daughter. Unforgettable and great healing properties! thank you. :-)
Organic, a rich, full tasting, caffeine free herbal. Our special blend of small, white Elderflower blossoms, Sambucus nigra, and the fragrant and nectar-producing flowers of the Linden tree (Tilia), makes a wonderfully, sweet beverage.

The elderflower is a wonderful herbal tea that I enjoy after dinner. Helps digestion and promotes calmness. Hard to describe the flavor so I won't even try, but I find it pleasantly unusual. All of the teas I've ordered from Silk Roads have been excellent quality.

Flavor is a little too strong, and it didn't help me relax. Something like three flowers celebration would be a better herbal tea choice.

First, be aware that this is a mix of Elderflower (typically Sambucus Nigra) and Linden flowers(Tilia - sub-genius not specified in the product description). Medicinal properties of those two flowers are similar: Sambucus is traditionally used for flue-like and respiratory issues (bronchitis, cough, respiratory infections) and Tilia is also used for colds, cough, fever, infections, inflammation but also is known to have a calming effect as it acts as a mild sedative (making it a perfect tisane for the evening as it may help you sleep). Tilia is also antispasmodic and helps with some digestive track problems. Now, this melange is really nice - the honey flavor taste very characteristic of Tilia comes though very nicely as you drink this golden yellow nectar. You get that immediate sensation of confort and calm as you sip that sweet beverage. I highly recommend this mix and hope Silk Road tea will continue to carry it for a long time.

Excellent herbal tea with a taste similar to caraway, nice golden color when brewed.
